ABOUT THE MATCH
It's all happening in Indian Premier League. This season hasn't been a one to remember for the immaculate umpiring and we witnessed another instance of controversial umpiring with more controversy to follow when Ulhas Gandhe called a Ben Stokes' delivery as no-ball only to be corrected by Bruce Oxenford a few balls later. It was an umpiring blunder from which the RCB's downslide started which left Virat Kohli fuming. They last played a match almost a week ago and this long break should have been pretty refreshing for them. They are taking on Kings XI Punjab in their next assignment which is to be played on 13th April at Punjab Cricket Association, Mohali. Kings XI Punjab too are coming off a loss and will be looking to get back to the winning ways before things start heading south for them.

MATCH PREVIEW
KINGS XI PUNJAB
Prior to their last loss, against Mumbai Indians, Kings XI Punjab were sitting pretty amongst the top-half of the table. Although not a lot has changed since their last loss, as far as their position is concerned in the points table, the other teams are now breathing down their neck.

Kings XI Punjab started off the tournament on a high, but they've been here and there thereafter. In seven matches, they have four wins to their name amounting to eight points and are coming off a heart-wrenching loss as Kieron Pollard wreaked havoc on their bowlers.

The match not only brought about a loss but also cost them a probable injury to their two key players - Ankit Rajpoot and Chris Gayle. The latter did not take the field after he picked up a back strain whereas Ankit Rajpoot injured his hand during the play. With Mayank Agarwal's participation already in doubt, the KXIP batting is rendered a little thin in the middle-order which will be a cause of concern for their management.

We could either of Nicholas Pooran or Moises Henriques coming into the playing eleven if the Chris Gayle is unable to make it. Despite the hard loss, there were definitely a few positives for Kings XI Punjab from the last game. KL Rahul, although took some time to get going, he looked in sublime touch once he was set which is something he will be looking to take forward. Punjab has done well over the years at this venue and it hasn't been different this time around as well. Although they have a few concerns to address, they are a strong team and won't be easy to get past especially in the home conditions.

ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE
There's hardly anything which has gone right for the Royal Challengers this year. Whenever they've batted out of their skin, the other team has bettered their effort to hand them a heart-wrenching defeat which has been their story in almost every single match. Historically as well as in this season, the Royal Challengers Bangalore haven't really won as many matches at home as they've won while playing away and they'll be hoping for the change in their fortunes as they move to Mohali to play their seventh match of the competition.

Their bowling, without a doubt, has been the major reason for the position the Challengers are in. None of their bowlers have been able to create an impact Virat Kohli would have expected. Brought into the playing eleven just a couple of matches ago, Tim Southee has been extremely expensive and has conceded 85 runs in his 6 overs.

There are rumors of Dale Steyn joining the Royal Challengers and even though the rumors happen to be true, he is unlikely to be part of RCB's playing eleven on Saturday. Mohammad Siraj and Navdeep Saini have both expended runs at quick rates and will need to understand the requirements of the shortest version of the game.

Virat Kohli himself sets high standards in the field and will be particularly disappointed with the way the Challengers have fielded. As per the stats, they have been the worst fielding side of the tournament with around 50% drop rate. With bowling already doing poorly, leaking runs in the field has only added to the pressure.

With the bat, the Royal Challengers are highly over-reliant on Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers to score quickly as was as a bat through the innings. The likes of Marcus Stoinis and Moeen Ali have played only cameos thus far and the floating role of Moeen Ali hasn't helped the cause either.

DREAM11 PREDICTION
Virat Kohli is hungry for runs and has clearly been one of the most consistent batsmen in the tournament thus far - something which the points table does not reflect and is, therefore, the captain of our Dream11 lineup.

While Parthiv Patel too hasn't done badly up until now, KL Rahul has been a better batsman thus far. Also, he has held onto catches which Parthiv Patel has failed to do more often than not.

Considering the fact that RCB's batting unit revolves majorly around AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli and then the all-rounders, it was imperative to take Marcus Stoinis and Moeen Ali to keep our side balanced. Alongside those two players, we have picked Ravi Ashwin as the third all-rounder due to his consistent performance with the ball.

RCB's bowling has struggled by and large, but with two of Kings XI Punjab's regular batsmen unlikely to play, we can afford to pick two RCB bowlers. From Kings XI Punjab, we have Mohammad Shami who is currently eighth on the list of this season's MVP. Check out the complete Dream11 lineup below:

KXIP VS RCB DREAM11 LINEUP
WICKET-KEEPER:
KL Rahul (VC)
BATSMEN:
Virat Kohli (C)
AB de Villiers
David Miller
Karun Nair
ALL-ROUNDERS:
Moeen Ali
Marcus Stoinis
R Ashwin
BOWLERS:

MATCH PREDICTION
The equation is as straightforward as it gets for the Royal Challengers - win all their matches hereon to get a confirmed berth in the playoffs. It's not impossible but is highly improbable considering the way they've done thus far. Kings XI Punjab, too, have a few issues to address with a couple of main players unlikely to play. The two sides are at the opposite ends of the spectrum as far as their form is concerned. With Kohli doing well and Mohali's surface likely to aid RCB's bowlers better as compared to their home ground, we think the Challengers will finally end their losing streak when they meet Punjab in the upcoming encounter.
